The Criminal Defense Lawyer Scholarship For Texas Law Students rewards one Texas law student who demonstrates a passion for criminal law with a $1000 scholarship to go towards a Texas law school class.
Who is eligible for the Criminal Defense Lawyer Scholarship For Texas Law Students?
This $1000 scholarship is available to Texas Law Students who meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in or formally accepted to any accredited Texas Law School.
- Texas resident for at least 2 years.
- Scholarship candidates must possess a history of working with the community, as demonstrated by volunteer, educational, or professional experiences.
- Scholarship candidates must be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
How do you apply for the Criminal Defense Lawyer Scholarship For Texas Law Students?
All applicants must include the following with their submission:
- Current resume listing history of community services. Please include the following:
- Description of service
- Service dates
- Contact information for organization with which you served, if applicable
- A 500-word essay in response to one or all of the following questions:
- Who was your main influence when you chose to become a criminal defense lawyer in Texas?
- Why do you want to become a criminal defense lawyer in Texas?
- What makes an excellent criminal defense lawyer in Texas?
- What criminal defense case is most memorable where the outcome was that the accused was found innocent and dismissed?
- A current transcript (unofficial) reflecting a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- The information of your TEXAS law school bursar’s account in order to send the check directly to your bursar’s account. We will not send the check directly to you so please verify with your bursar how the check must be sent in order for it to be used for your law classes. Application deadline and instructions for the Criminal Defense Lawyer Scholarship For Texas Law Students
Applicants must email their resume, essay and transcript to social.media @ rbisenberg.com (no spaces). There is no official submission deadline. Once we have three applicants, we will have a contest and see who gets the most votes among your family, legal team, class mates, friends etc. Your essay will be shown to the public and a voting system will be put into place. Voting will last for two weeks. You will have the opportunity to post the link and let others know where to vote.
The winner will be notified via phone or email.
Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
